When Does Transportation Operate?
Monday through Friday 5:15 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Saturdays 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Sundays 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Reservations are accepted Monday through Saturday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
No service is provided on the following holidays, however an answering machine will accept reservations on these days for the next business day:
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day

See map of service area to the right of this page. If Township listed is either Rockton or Roscoe, then the address is within the SMTD Service Area.
Special service for medical appointments to areas outside the district service area include facilities in Rockford, Loves Park, Machesney Park, in Illinois, and Beloit & Town of Beloit in Wisconsin.
Additional special service to connect to the RMTD bus stop at Target Rt. 173 Machesney Park, Illinois, and the BTS Transfer Center on Shirland Avenue in Beloit, Wisconsin. Also, special service to shopping corridor along Rt. 173 from IL 251 eastward to Mitchell Road in Machesney Park, Illinois, including the AMC movie theater off Perryville Road in Machesney Park, Illinois.
